On 7 November 2025, Superhero transferred its New Zealand customer base to Sharesies. This marks the end of Superhero’s operations in New Zealand as we continue to focus on growing our Australian business.
We want to say a sincere thank you for being a Superhero customer and for trusting us with your investing journey.
What’s happened
Superhero and Sharesies agreed for Superhero to transfer its New Zealand customer holdings to Sharesies.
Superhero New Zealand customers have had their eligible holdings moved to a Sharesies account in their name. This included shares, ETFs and LICs on AU and US markets and cash balances (AUD, NZD and USD).
If you already had a Sharesies account, your eligible holdings were moved into that existing account. If you didn’t, a new Sharesies account has been created for you, and Sharesies has contacted you with details on how to log in and get started.
What this means for you
You can now continue your investing journey directly with Sharesies, including access to:
- NZX-listed investments
- ASX-listed investments
- US-listed investments

Accessing your Superhero reports
Even though your portfolio has moved to Sharesies, you’ll still be able to log in to your Superhero account until 17 November 2025.
We recommend using this time to download any:
- Account statements
- Tax reports
- Transaction history
you’d like to keep for your records.
To do this, log in to your Superhero account, go to your Profile, and select Tax Reports to download the files you need.
After 17 November 2025, your Superhero NZ account will be fully closed. If you need access to reports after this date, you can contact our team at hello@superhero.com.au and we’ll be able to help.

Timing and what to expect
Following the market-close on the 7th of November 2025, we will initiate the transfer of your assets to Sharesies. It may take up to a week for the transfer process to be complete. Once your account moves to Sharesies, your investing journey will continue directly with their team.

Superhero made the decision to focus on its Australian operations while ensuring New Zealand customers remained supported through a local provider.
To provide a smooth experience and ongoing access to investment markets, we partnered with Sharesies to take on our New Zealand customer base and associated assets. All holdings including securities, cash and pending dividends began their transfer into your new Sharesies account on 7 November 2025. Sharesies has contacted you with steps on how to access your new Sharesies account.
This change only affected Superhero’s New Zealand operations – there was no impact to Australia-based customers or accounts.
Your Superhero NZ account will be accessible until 17 November 2025 to give you time to download any reports you need. After 17 November, access to the app and web platforms will close.
Your investments remained yours throughout the transition. The value, cost base, relevant tax information and performance history of your holdings were transferred unchanged to your Sharesies account.
If you sold any holdings before the transfer, those sales will appear on your Superhero 2025–26 tax statement when it is issued. Sharesies will issue future tax reports for activity on your Sharesies account.
